The GMP+ standards cover the entire feed chain, from production and trade to transshipment and transport, processing, and storage.
From the office in Rijswijk, a small, close-knit team works every day to ensure the international safety of animal feed. Communication lines are short, and projects are dynamic.
For the Feed Safety team, we are looking for a Team Lead Scheme & Service. In this role, you provide day-to-day leadership to the Scheme & Service team. You monitor the workload and coordinate the team’s priorities. You combine strategic oversight with practical expertise, applying lean thinking to enhance the usability and impact of the Scheme. At the same time, you interact with external stakeholders and act as chair or participant in various project groups.
Job description
As a people manager you are experienced in managing workflows and setting priorities
- Contribute to the overall corporate strategy and align team objectives accordingly.
- Guide and inspire team members in their day-to-day responsibilities towards an innovative mind set for the Scheme and our Services.
- Translate GMP+ strategy into actionable team objectives together with the Operations Manager.
- Coordinate execution of projects, structural work, and annual plans within agreed budget, required quality standards, and established timelines.
- Develop, implement, and monitor teamwork processes and performance standards; ensure compliance with defined procedures and hold the team accountable for achieving agreed KPIs.
- Manage external stakeholder relationships and represent GMP+ within the expertise area.
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the team by identifying and acting on international trends, market developments, and opportunities for the Scheme and their Services.
- Support and pro-actively come up with innovation proposals, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement for the Scheme and their Services.
- Chair or support technical committees (preparing topics, organizing the meeting agenda, presenting topics, etc.), working groups, and able to perform stakeholder presentations.
- Conduct internal research and contribute to training initiatives.
- Advise the Manager Scheme & Service on team development and resource planning.
Profile
Experienced team lead with a strong focus on project management
Requirements
- MSc or BSc degree in a relevant field.
- Strong communication and coordination skills both in English & Dutch.
- Analytical and strategic mindset with operational focus,
- Strong project management and process improvement skills.
- Knowledge of the feed/food industry, GMP+, HACCP, and quality systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with databases and ICT.
- Fluent in English; an additional European language is a plus.
