Today, GMP+ International is a not-for-profit organization with more than 19,000 GMP+ certified companies in 90 countries. The strength of the scheme lies in its unique chain approach. The GMP+ standards cover the entire feed chain, from production and trade to transshipment and transport, processing, and storage.
Sustainability is also receiving increasing attention within the feed chain. GMP+ International plays an active role in this, focusing not only on feed safety but also, for the past few years, on sustainability. More and more producers, in addition to the GMP+ Feed Safety certificate, are seeking additional recognition in the area of responsible production. GMP+ International addresses this by offering specific sustainability standards within the scheme. The challenge lies in translating sustainability developments into practically applicable products that meet the needs of the feed chain. From the office in Rijswijk, a small, close-knit team works every day to ensure the international safety of animal feed. Communication lines are short, and projects are dynamic. We are looking for a Project Coordinator Sustainability to join the team in Rijswijk.
Job description
Translating sustainability questions from the market into workable schemes
- You understand the complexity of the feed chain and sustainability and successfully translate these into certification requirements and usable tools and solutions, for example in the field of education and training.
- Within the sustainability team, the frameworks are not set in stone. You thrive on shaping a clear roadmap and initiating related projects.
- From all the ideas you and your colleagues develop, you can sharply determine which has the most impact and turn it into action.
- You actively maintain contact with stakeholders in the sector, giving you a good feel for current themes and needs. This allows you to stay ahead in the sustainability dialogue and spot opportunities for the team.
- You know what team members and clients need to effectively contribute to a safe and responsible feed chain. You think along, facilitate, and ensure everyone has the right information and resources.
- Based on your experience and client feedback, you improve sustainability-related products to increase their impact, keeping them relevant, practical, and future-proof.
- You enjoy getting to the heart of complex issues. By listening carefully and asking the right questions, you quickly identify the core problem and suggest solutions.
- You actively contribute to various sustainability projects and continuously work on improving and streamlining existing processes, with an eye on impact and feasibility.
Profile
Your heart beats faster for a sustainable food chain, which starts with responsible animal feed
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree, for example, a degree from HAS or WUR in food technology, animal science, agri-food technology, livestock farming, agribusiness, etc.
- A few years of experience in a similar role in quality, sustainability, or food safety within a certification body or a raw materials/production company in the feed or food industry.
- Excellent command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
